Supporting the “Green Revolution” at VietShrimp 2025
VietShrimp 2025 represented a pivotal moment for the Southeast Asian aquaculture sector, and Innocreate Bioscience was honored to return to the heart of Vietnam’s shrimp industry for this landmark event. Held from March 26–28, 2025, in Can Tho City—the capital of the Mekong Delta—the 6th VietShrimp Aquaculture International Fair focused on the urgent theme of “Greening Farming.” This theme served as a major forum for managers, scientists, and over 150 domestic and international enterprises to find sustainable, long-term solutions for the global shrimp sector.
The Core Vision of VietShrimp 2025
The aquaculture industry is currently facing a dual challenge: the need to increase production to meet global protein demands and the absolute necessity of reducing its environmental footprint. At VietShrimp 2025, the dialogue shifted from mere productivity to “Eco-Efficiency.” Vietnam, which manages an impressive 750,000 hectares of shrimp farming area, is leading the charge in this “Green Revolution.”
For Innocreate Bioscience, our participation in VietShrimp 2025 was about more than just showcasing products; it was about aligning with Vietnam’s national goals for sustainable development. We believe that technology should not only make farming more profitable but also more harmonious with the surrounding ecosystem.
Early Detection: The First Step in Greening a Farm
During the fair, our team highlighted a crucial but often overlooked aspect of environmental stewardship: early disease detection. We demonstrated how rapid, accurate diagnostic technology is the primary defense against the “Greening” obstacles of modern farming.
When a farmer cannot accurately identify why their shrimp are dying, they often resort to “blind” treatments. This leads to several environmental issues that VietShrimp 2025 sought to address:
- Reduction of Antibiotic Misuse: By identifying pathogens like White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV) early and with laboratory-grade precision at the pondside, farmers no longer need to use antibiotics as a preventative or curative “guess.” This keeps the final product clean and prevents the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria in the soil and water.
- Bio-Security and Water Protection: Accurate diagnosis prevents the accidental release of infected water into the surrounding environment. If a farmer knows exactly which pathogen is present, they can treat the water effectively before discharge, protecting the local biodiversity of the Mekong Delta.
Looking Ahead Beyond Can Tho
As we conclude our journey at VietShrimp 2025, the lessons learned in Can Tho City will drive our research and development for the coming year. The optimism we felt from the over 150 participating enterprises suggests that the industry is ready to embrace change.
We would like to thank the organizers of the VietShrimp Aquaculture International Fair for providing such a vital platform for innovation. Innocreate Bioscience looks forward to continuing our work in the Mekong Delta, supporting every farmer in their mission to produce high-quality, eco-friendly shrimp for the world. The “Green Revolution” is here, and together, we are making it a reality.
